Our Story

Ross and Charlotte both grew up in Jackson, Mississippi, but it was not until college that they started spending time together in groups and getting to know each other. Ross attended Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas, and Charlotte attended Millsaps College in Jackson, Mississippi. During their senior year, Charlotte called Ross one afternoon looking for guidance on planning a duck hunting trip in Arkansas for her then boyfriend. Ross kindly helped Charlotte and planned an itinerary for a weekend trip for her.

A few months later when Ross followed up on the trip, he was secretly excited to hear that Charlotte's previous relationship did not work out. However, unfortunately, Ross and Charlotte were still living in different states. After a couple of months of keeping in touch, Ross called Charlotte one day and asked to take her to dinner. From there, the two continued to see each other whenever they were both in Mississippi. Soon after a trip to Starkville together with friends, Ross and Charlotte decided to dive into a long-distance relationship together.

After two years of long-distance, Charlotte decided to move to Little Rock where Ross was living. Their relationship continued to grow as they lived and worked in the greater Little Rock area, enjoying things like playing pickleball, hunting, and traveling together. A year and a half later, Ross asked Charlotte to marry him at her childhood home in Jackson while home for Christmas surrounded by both of their families. They have fallen in love with Little Rock and cannot wait to plant roots and grow their family there.
